Cafe Cofee Day chain which is already experimenting with the idea of concept stores with its launch of Garden Cafe Day in Kolkatta is all set to launch a Sports Coffee Bar in Pune.
The store in Pune is around 2,500 sft in size and will have a sporty look and feel. It will sell sports merchandise other than coffee 🙂 The company is in talks with various sports personalities including Sania Mirza for endorsement.
Cafe Coffee Day currently has 430 cafes and 500 express outlets. By the end of this year they plan to have 500 cafes and 700 express outlets. By September they plan to open one outlet every day and get a firm PAN India presence in Coffee.
Starbucks will sell coffee in India in Joint Venture with Pantaloon Retail India Ltd.
