Jumbo King Foods wants to open 500 outlets by 2010 and reach a turnover of Rs 200-225 crore. Mr. Dheeraj Gupta, CEO of JumboKing said that the company will open 120 outlets by March-08. Currently it has presence in Maharashtra and Gujarat. The company is in talks with Indian Railways, BPCL and HPCL Petrol Pumps to expand its presence at those strategic locations.
All the stores are Franchisee owned and operated under the Jumbo King brand name. It costs Rs 15-18 lakh to setup and get an outlet up and running [Lower Cost if you own the Real Estate]. Each store will break even within the first 6 months of operation and on an average can clock a turnover of Rs 40 Lakh in the first year.
