A year ago we were the first one to report about Maxwells Lingerie Retail plans, then the brand and store names were undecided too. Maxwell owner of popular Lingerie brands such as VIP Feelings, Lovable, Daisy Dee and Frenchie has finally decided on its retail plans under the brand name Green Room – Ultimate Comfort Zone.
The first Green Room concept store is up and running in Kolhapur, Mahrashtra. Maxwell told us that it plans to open 250-300 stores under the franchisee route in different formats to optimize the exposure of all brands under it. The objective of these retail outlets will be to provide better choice to the Indian consumer on account of better shelf space and mind share of customer.
Women entrepreneurs willing to run these retail franchisee outlets maybe given preference over men as most Tier-II and III cities still have lot of conservative Indian women when it comes to shopping lingerie and personal products.
