Titan Industries foray into Luxury and Premium watch segment has paid the company very handsomely. Tow of their main brands – Xylys and Nebula are doing extremely good. Xylys has classic, contemporary and sports collection targeted at the dynamic new generation. While Nebula is more of a watch with 18K gold and Jewellery finish.
Xylys now has approximately 25% of the Indian Premium watch market share. It sells between Rs 10,000 and Rs 40,000 competing with international brands such as Rado and Tissot. Interestingly Titan has a licensing pact with Hugo Boss and Tommy Hilfiger to sell their global brands in India.
Ms Mitra of Titan Industries said,
The premium segment of the watches market is growing at 35% , making this an important market to be present in. Eventually we will look at entering the overseas market as well.
Titan also launched a new collection Nebula Duet pairs of specially crafted 18K gold watches for the great Indian wedding season. The collection is priced upwards of Rs 30,000 upto Rs 150,000 and is sold only through World of Titan showrooms.
