German sportswear major Puma is changing its Retail strategy in India from being pure-play sports retailer to complete lifestyle brand. In collaboration with Gini & Jony, the company will enter the kidswear market.
Gini & Jony has a network of 150 stores across India and Puma wants to encash on the same. Under the agreement, Gini & Jony is just a distribution partner while the merchandise will be manufactured / imported by Puma.
In this JV, Puma will target kids between 4 and 14 in the segments of apparels, footwear and accessories. Starting price range is pegged at Rs 399.
Puma in India also sells shoes, apparels, accessories, watches and sunglasses and has 64 exclusive outlets in High Streets to Malls.
