Future Group, currently present in the food retailing space through Food Bazaar, KB’s FairPrice and Foodrite, is going up in terms of positioning with its latest venture, Foodhall.

Godrej’s Nature’s Basket saw 70% Y-o-Y growth across its 12 stores in Delhi and Mumbai in FY11 is a testimony to the demand buoyancy. The Tata group through Gourmet West, stocks high end gourmet products, is also present in Mumbai. Foodhall will tap the urban Indian consumer who wants to experiment with both imported and exotic food items.
The first Foodhall store, located in the up market mall Palladium, is located in a good catchment area in South Mumbai. The 15,000 sq ft store houses a live kitchen and a bakery, a dedicated fresh fruits and vegetables section and a separate area for dairy products, cereals, processed foods and wines. Foodhall offers an assortment of fresh and packaged assortment foods in both international and pan-Indian cuisine is one-stop destination for all food enthusiasts.
