The organized beauty services segment in India is pegged at Rs 200 crore with a YoY growth of 31%. Lakme Lever is all set to cash in on this boom. Lakme Lever already has 93 salons [Own and Franchisee model] across 37 cities experiencing an average of six lakh footfalls per annum.
Lakme Lever now wants to introduce the concept of Express Salons. Most of Lakme’s customers are working women in the age group of 25 and 30. Women in the North spend on an average Rs 900 / visit on hair and skin care, while their counterparts in the south spend a little lower at Rs 700.
