“W” the Premium Womens wear brand has said that it is investing Rs 50 crore to expand its products and reach. The company plans to expand its retail presence this year to 200 points of sale across 30 cities and 45 exclusive brand stores across 25 cities.

The brand “W” is moving ahead rapidly ever since it was established in 2002. It has been able to carve a niche for itself in the ready-to-wear market with its innovative styling that couples international fashion trends with day-to-day functionality. Over the last few years we understood that our target audience, the contemporary Indian women needs more than the fusion wear we were presenting her with. She needs to be Trendy at par with current global trends. Therefore we have tuned ourselves and changed our model to give the Indian women complete wardrobe solutions.
“W”” is more like Chicos fashion in the US targeted at the premium segment.
W” introduces “Weve” brand for Women in the Budget Category. The company has entered into a tie up with Reliance Retail to to sell Weve through retail giant’s hypermarket and specialty format stores. Reliance will provide the space and logistics while Weve will focus on building the brand. Weve is an exclusive brand created for Reliance Retail.
Mr. Mishra added,
The in-shop floor size of Weve section will be 250 sft in smaller cities and 450 sft in bigger cities. The pricing for these brands will be in the range of Rs 250 to Rs 495. Next year we plan to add accessories apart from apparels.
